SUGGESTED BREWING

  • EARL GREY
    Brew:   An elegantly flavoured black tea that is perfect to serve with afternoon treats. 1 teaspoon per 200 ml. Brew tea leaves with boiling water for 3 mins. Serve with a splash of milk. Add sugar, honey or lemon to taste. 
    Caffeine level:  Moderate – equivalent to approximately 1/2 cup coffee
  • ENGLISH BREAKFAST
    Brew:   At breakfast. Also good for a mid-morning pick-me-up. 1 teaspoon per 200ml. Brew with boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Serve with milk, sugar, honey or lemon to taste.
    Caffeine Level: Moderate – equivalent to approximately 1/2 cup of coffee.
  • MASALA CHAI  Caffeine Free (Rooibos Tea)
    Method 1: Teapot
    Brew To make 400ml (2 cups):
    Place 2 teaspoons chai* in a teapot (infuser basket removed).  A coffee plunger also works very well.
    Pour 100ml boiling water and let steep for 10 mins.
    Heat 300ml milk and add to teapot
    Strain into a cup
    Serving Suggestions:  Add honey.  Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg or chocolate on top
    Tip:  Try with rice milk
    *If blending with tea, rooibos etc, try 1/2 and 1/2 and then adjust to your taste
  • Method 2: Saucepan
    To make 400ml (2 cups):
    Place 100ml water/300ml milk in a saucepan
    Add 2 teaspoon chai*
    Simmer for 10 mins
    Strain into a cup
    Serving Suggestions:  Add honey.  Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg or chocolate on top
    Tip:  Try with rice milk
    *If blending with tea, rooibos etc, try 1/2 and 1/2 and then adjust to your taste
  • RAW STICKY CHAI
  • Brew: In a small saucepan, add 2 teaspoons of Sticky Chai per 250ml of milk of your choice. Heat  and simmer for about 2 minutes while stirring.  Strain through fine sieve or strainer. Raw Sticky Chai is blended with organic honey but you may add more to taste, depending on how sweet you like your chai. For a lighter Chai you can use half water half milk.
  • ANTI-INFLAMMATORY
    Brew:  1 teaspoon per cup. Brew with boiling water 5-10 minutes. Enjoy without milk, honey and lemon juice optional.
  • RELAX AND REJUVENATE
    Brew:  1 teaspoon per cup. Brew with boiling water 5-10 minutes. Enjoy without milk, honey and lemon juice optional.  
  • ASSAM
  • Brew: A great kick start to the day or as a refresher instead of a second coffee. 1 teaspoon per 200 ml. Brew tea leaves with boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Add milk and sugar to taste.
  • Caffeine level:  Moderate – equivalent to approximately 1/2 cup of coffee
  • CHAMOMILE
  • Brew: Take 1-2 teaspoons and brew in 90-95ºC in 250ml of water for 5 minutes. Add honey or a sprig of mint, depending on preference. Drink any time but particularly good before bed.
  • LEMONGRASS GINGER
  • Brew: Great for a pick me-up mid-morning or mid-afternoon.1 heaped tspn per cup (250ml). Brew with boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Can take a drizzle of honey.Serve iced for a sensational summer drink. Remember to use double the quantity when making iced tea.
  •  GREEN TEA
  • Brew: 1 teaspoon per cup (250ml). Brewing temperature should be below boiling point, around  80ºC. Use of boiling water will result in bitterness. Only requires 1-2 mins brewing time. Enjoy without milk. Be careful not to oversteep otherwise tea may turn bitter.
  • BLACK CYLON 
  • Brew: Drink morning, noon or night. 1 teaspoon per cup (250 ml). Brew with boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Add milk, sugar, honey or lemon to taste. Be careful not to oversteep otherwise tea may turn bitter.
  • BONDI BREAKFAST
  • Brew: 1-2 teaspoons per cup brewed for 1 minute at 90 degrees. Try adding a hint of honey or coconut nectar for more sweetness. Add milk to taste.
  • HEALTH BOOSTER
  • Brew: Steep 1-2 teaspoons per cup of freshly boiled water (100ºc) for 3-5 minutes. Add honey for a dash of sweetness and added health-boosting power.
  • SENCHA GREEN
  • Brew: 1 teaspoon per cup (250ml). Brewing temperature should be below boiling point, around  80ºC. Use of boiling water will result in bitterness. Only requires 1-2 mins brewing time. Enjoy without milk. Be careful not to oversteep otherwise tea may turn bitter
  • PEACH ICED TEA
  • Brew: Steep 1-2 teaspoons of the blend per cup of freshly boiled water at 100°C for approximately 2-3 minutes. 
  • FEILD OF DREAMS
  • Brew: Particularly good before bed. 1 heaped tspn per cup (250ml). Brew with boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Can take a drizzle of honey.
  • IMMUNE BOOST
  • Brew: 1 heaped tspn per cup (250ml). Brew with boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Good at any time of day.
  • PINK LADY
  • Brew: 1 heaped tspn per cup (250ml). Brew with boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Can take a drizzle of honey. Great iced. Remember to use double the quantity when making iced tea.
  • ROOIBOS
  • Brew: 1 tspn per cup (250ml). Brew with boiling water 3-5 minutes for a bright coppery red infusion. As there is no tannin in rooibos, you can brew for at long as you like without fear of it turning bitter. Enjoy without milk, with a slice of lemon. Sugar or honey to sweeten. Serve iced with sliced lemon for a delicious and refreshing beverage. Remember to use double the quantity when making iced tea.
  • ROOIBOS CHAI
  • Brew: Method 1: Place 2 tspns per cup in a saucepan and add milk. Bring gently to the boil, then turn down and simmer for 10 minutes. Add honey or sugar to sweeten, if desired. Strain into a cup.
  • Method 2: Place 2 tspns per cup in a teapot. Add a small amount of boiling water and let the spices brew for at least 5 minutes. Add steamed milk, mix and strain into a cup. 
  • TURMERIC CHAI
  • Brew: 1 tspn per cup (250ml). Brew with boiling water 5-10 minutes or add 1 teaspoon to a cup of milk and simmer in a pan for 5-10 mins. Strain into a cup. Sweeten with honey.
