Description
This is our special sencha, coming directly from China and perfect for lovers of a smooth drinking green tea. Chinese sencha is made of leaves from bushes in the countryside. That's why it's famous for its prominent fresh and grassy flavour and almost flowery smell. When brewing Sencha, don’t overheat the water; steep the leaves at 70-80 °C for around 20 seconds. A nice short brew really boosts that sweet aroma. Longer steeping (up to 90 seconds) can bring out Sencha’s lingering bitterness and intensify the flavour, but like anything, it’s down to personal taste.
Serving - Add 1 teaspoon into a cup (250ml) with hot water (70-80ºC) and brew for 1-3 minutes. Use a Japanese kyusu teapot for best results.
